I am intrigued with the idea of walking through a field and finding some piece of detritus of unknown origin. Where did it come from? Is it of animal origin? Is it made by human hands?

As an artist, I am attracted to the trickery of making something which, though made by me from new materials, seems as though it was constructed from old, discarded, found objects.

The resulting ambiguity leaves room for the viewer to find their own puzzlement, and then their own meaning.
